Make-Ahead
5-Minute Overnight Oats
Stir it tonight, grab it tomorrow. A creamy, no-cook base you can flavor a dozen ways for the whole week.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (45g) rolled oats
- 1/2 cup (120ml) milk of choice
- 1/4 cup (60g) Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
- Pinch of salt
- Toppings: berries, banana, peanut butter, cinnamon
Method
- Add the oats, milk, yogurt, chia, sweetener and salt to a jar.
- Stir well, making sure no dry oats cling to the sides.
- Seal and refrigerate at least 4 hours, ideally overnight.
- In the morning, stir and loosen with a splash of milk if needed. Pile on your toppings.
Cook's notes
- Use rolled oats, not instant (mushy) or steel-cut (too chewy).
- Make 3–4 jars at once for grab-and-go weekday breakfasts.
- Try flavor combos: PB & banana, apple-cinnamon, or berries & almond.
